Eye Exams at Isthmus Eye Care
Isthmus Eye Care is committed to providing a comprehensive assessment of your eyes— taking into consideration your overall health and well-being. That means we ask questions about you: your health history and concerns, your vision needs, your daily activities and hobbies, and your long-term vision goals. This allows us to become advocates of your lifestyle needs and the doctors will make necessary recommendations to maintain healthy vision.
We begin most eye examinations with a thorough history and then establish "baseline" eye health measurements through our state-of-the art technology, administered by our well-trained optometric technicians. You're always treated with respect and dignity, and our doctors and staff will carefully listen to and consider your individual needs.
Our doctors are leaders in the field of eye health, and can treat and manage many eye diseases and conditions. Glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts, keratoconus, ocular allergies and dry eye are among many of the eye conditions that our experienced doctors manage and treat for our patients. With Isthmus Eye Care, you're assured to get the best care that experience and technology provides.
Good eye health starts young, even babies need eye care. Your baby’s vision goes through many critical stages of development and potential eye or vision issues are not always obvious. InfantSEE® is a public health program developed to provide professional eye care for infants nationwide. InfantSEE® vision assessments are available at no cost for infants six to twelve months of age. To assure your child has normal vision development, make an appointment for an InfantSEE® eye exam. After an infant exam, your child should then follow up at age three as well as age five or the beginning of kindergarten, or as recommended by your eye care professional at Isthmus Eye Care.
During your next visit to Isthmus Eye Care, you can experience the benefits of an exciting new technology in eye exams - the Optomap™ Retinal Exam. The Optomap will produce the most comprehensive image of your retina (the back lining of your eye), and allow the doctor to perform a more thorough exam than was previously possible. The result is that we can better prevent or reduce vision loss in our patients with a simple, quick and patient-friendly new technology. Learn more about Optomap and be sure to ask for the Optomap™ Retinal Exam at your next exam!
