Dr. Richard M. Jun is honored to be part of the Isthmus Eye Care family.

He specializes in pediatrics, binocular vision disorders, and vision therapy. He is proud to continue providing the very best in personalized eye care for Middleton, Madison, and the surrounding communities.

Dr. Jun grew up in the quiet suburb of Flossmoor, Illinois then attended the Loyola University of Chicago on a full academic scholarship. He graduated with academic honors and awards, cum laude. Dr. Jun headed to New York City to attend State University of New York (SUNY) College of Optometry where he graduated in 2006 with an award for excellence in primary care. He completed SUNY’s residency program for Vision Therapy and Rehabilitation in 2007.

Dr. Jun was the Chief Optometrist at Pediatric EyeMD with pediatric ophthalmology in New York City for five years. In 2012 Dr. Jun made the move back to the midwest to pursue his passion for providing quality eye care for patients of all ages. Dr. Jun finds building relationships with his patients the most rewarding part of providing eye care.

He is a member of the Wisconsin Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, and the College of Optometrists in Vision Development. His dedication to service has led him to participate in Remote Access Medical missions and Special Olympics.

Dr. Jun is passionate about adventure traveling, fitness, and hiking. He loves spending time outdoors with his girlfriend, Megan, and their rescued pit bulls. You may run into them in the Schenk-Atwood neighborhood, where they live. He is a published amateur comic book artist and enjoys collecting action figures.
